Watertight Marine CD/USB Receiver with CeNET Control
Clarion's CMD7 is a versatile marine CD receiver that's watertight and ready to hold up to salt and fog. Play back your CDs, your digital MP3/WMA files from disc or USB devices, and control your iPod directly from the receiver. The CMD7 features 45 watts peak power through four channels, and offers 2V front/rear and subwoofer preamp outputs for building a larger system.
A Versatile and Watertight Marine CD Receiver
Ready for the Harsh Marine Environment
Water is a marine source unit's worst enemy, and when you add salt to the equation, we're talking nightmare. The CMD7 has been IPX5 tested, and certified to offer the highest water intrusion protection and salt resistance in its class.
The unit's watertight flip-down control panel and rubber gaskets stop water in its tracks, with integrated drainage channels to keep water out. It meets ASTM standards for both salt and fog exposure, as well as UV exposure. A HumiSeal coated PCB protects internal components. In short, install it in your boat and forget about it--the CMD7 is ready to withstand the harsh marine environment.
CD/MP3/WMA Playback
Play back your favorite CDs and CD-R/RW discs, or burn a disc full of MP3/WMA audio files, for hours of entertainment on a single disc.
A rear USB port gives you one other option--swap in USB thumb drives full of MP3s and WMAs for direct playback.
Direct USB iPod/iPhone Control and USB Playback
Got an iPod or iPhone? You'll appreciate the direct iPod connection via the CMD7's rear USB port. Hook up your iPod and it'll stay charged while you enjoy direct control of playback, including genre/album/song title search (you can also operate the iPod directly, of course).
AM/FM Radio
Sometimes a little radio's handy too, for checking in on the news, the weather, or traffic. Instantly dial up your favorites with the CMD7's 24 station presets.
Dial It in With Clarion Beat EQ/Magna Bass EX
In addition to providing three preset equalization patterns (bass boost, impact, and excite) Clarion’s Beat EQ lets you adjust the bass, midrange, and treble to your liking. And whether your music is playing at a low or high volume, Magna Bass EX lets you get well-balanced bass.
Room to Grow
The CMD7 makes a great start for your marine entertainment system, and also offers room to grow. It's ready for wireless and wired controllers offered by Clarion, as well as capable of SIRIUS satellite radio with a Sirius Connect vehicle tuner--no need for an interface box.
If you want a little more than the 45 watts x 4 cranked out by the CMD7, it features 2V front/rear and subwoofer preamp outputs, for adding external amps/speakers.
